Truth and Perceived Truth

"I agree with you about truths and perceived truths, just like with our estrangements. Everyone experiences things in their own way, and then their perceptions and misconceptions become their reality. And that's why it's so hard for any resolutions or reconciliations to occur (especially long term) and especially without professional help, courts of law, etc.

Obviously "truth" is meaningless to some people. They would rather
blame someone, some thing, some time or some place: anything other than
themselves. I have been the recipient of this all my life. And there is
nothing I can do about it
but live my life "to the best of my ability."

The text was widely distributed in poster form. Calling it “Spock Thoughts”, Leonard Nimoy recited the poem on his 1967 album, “Leonard Nimoy Presents Mr. Spock’s Music from Outer Space”. His rendition is not the only one to change the 2nd to last sentence from “Be Cheerful” to “Be Careful”.
